In 2018, the residents of Niagara Falls elected Lori as a City Councillor and entrusted her with the important role of advocating for their futures and the health of their community.  It is a privilege that Lori does not take lightly and indeed relishes in that responsibility.

Lori has been appointed to many committees and boards during her term as City Councillor.  She has been able to learn from each of these committees, serve the residents more fully and also bring her breadth of experience to each one. They are:

Board Director –  Project SHARE
2011 to Present – Niagara Falls, Ontario

Created in 1991, Project SHARE was developed as a non–profit charitable organization in response to an increased demand for emergency services. Project SHARE provides emergency food and support services to residents of Niagara Falls who are living on or below the poverty line as stipulated by Statistics Canada.

Each Board Director upholds the mission, vision and values of Project SHARE, sets strategic direction for the organization, policy development, hires the Executive Director and budget and financial oversight.

2019 to Present – Niagara Falls, Ontario

The Niagara Falls Art Gallery aims to inspire children and adults of all ages throughout the community of Niagara Falls and the Regional Municipality of Niagara to participate in the arts.

Event Planner/Campaign Management – Consult Niagara
2012 to Present – Niagara Falls, Ontario

Responsibilities include the organization and planning of professional and non-profit events and conferences, creation, implementation and management of social media strategies and web sites, organize and implement campaign management for municipal and federal political campaigns and non-profit initiatives.

2016 and 2021 – Niagara Falls, Ontario

Governments, businesses, associations and community organizations use census information to plan services that benefit everyone who lives in Canada. 

Responsibilities include recruitment of employees, train, lead and supervise a team, handle sensitive, personal and confidential information, observe strict protocols in dealing with confidential information when transmitting information

Court Reporter –  Ministry of Attorney General
2016 to 2018 – St. Catharines, Ontario

Responsibilities include the effective operation of court-recording devices, make annotations, ensure security of record and quality of the recording, maintain accurate records and have knowledge of courtroom practices and proceedings, decorum and protocol.

Administrator – Niagara Arts Showcase
2016 to 2018 – Niagara Falls, Ontario

Responsibilities include liaison with Board of Directors, event planning, understand challenges of stakeholders, create sponsorship and promotional packages, prepare and review grant applications and reporting and develop strategic opportunities for the non-profit organization.

The mission of the Niagara Falls Community Outreach Program is to alleviate the pain of hunger by providing nutritious meals free of charge to persons in need with dignity and respect, in an atmosphere of acceptance and safety.

1990 to 2013 – Niagara Falls, Ontario

Serving the community since 1887, the lawyers at Martin Sheppard Fraser LLP have a long-standing reputation for providing excellent legal representation for the broad range of clientele throughout the Niagara region.

Responsibilities included daily operations as well as long range planning with multiple committees, budget and financial oversight including legal and government reporting.  In addition, she oversaw research, development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Inaugural District 86 Governor – Elected Position – District 86 Toastmasters
2008 to 2009 – Southwestern, Central and Northern Ontario

Responsibilities included to support and serve 4,500 members, oversee multiple levels of leadership teams, lead and plan the reformation of an overly large district into two separate districts to reach distinguished status, recruitment of future leaders, ensure ongoing training of club officers and event planning.
