Meet Lori

Started in 2014 by going to council meetings, educating herself about the role, listening to residents’ concerns and conferring with community organizations.

She ranked as first runner up in that year’s election and won her seat in the 2018 municipal election for City Council.  The residents of Niagara Falls entrusted her with the important role of advocating for their futures and the health of their community.  It is a privilege that Lori does not take lightly and indeed relishes in that responsibility.

As a Niagara Falls Councillor Lori has quickly earned a reputation as a politician that works for residents’ interests, a voice for the unheard and advocate for transparency in government.

Lori is widely recognized in Niagara and worldwide for her intelligence, dedication and integrity.

She has been appointed to many committees and boards during her term as City Councillor and has been able to learn from each of these committees, serve the residents more fully and also bring her breadth of experience to each one.

Central to her vision of a healthy community in our city are sustainable development, environmental protection and affordable housing.

Her leadership on the world stage as a Board Director for Toastmasters International has expanded her role as an ambassador for Niagara everywhere she goes.  Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills with more than 313,000 members in over 14,650 clubs in 126 countries.  From 2012 to 2014, Lori was one of 14 elected Directors charged with setting the strategic direction for the organization, policy development and budget and financial oversight.

Her involvement with tackling the basic needs of the residents of Niagara Falls who are living below the poverty line has been manifest in her position as a Director on the Board of Project SHARE.

Lori has worked for over 25 years in Niagara’s legal community, 14 years as the Administrator of a large firm.

Lori has also worked for Census Canada in 2016 and 2021 and as a Court Reporter for the Ministry of the Attorney General.

Philip, Lori’s husband for 32 years, enthusiastically supports Lori being on Niagara Falls City Council.  He says “I am proud of the integrity and commitment she brings to everything she does. She really is the kind of leader Niagara needs.”

A lifelong resident, she is passionate about serving the city she loves.  Lori is excited to connect with her community to make our vision of Our New Niagara a reality.

Lori looks forward to earning your vote on October 24th!
